The price of a barrel of crude oil dropped to under $40 a barrel today and I for one hope that it stays right there for a long time to come. This can mean that the price of a gallon of gasoline will drop even lower than it is right now and that is a very good thing for us and our delivery business. When oil was over $147 a barrel it about drove us out of business and our small delivery business is still reeling from it. Let us hope the new year starts the same way 2008 is ending and the price of oil keeps going down and down.

I paid $3.11 for gasoline today and I see where in far north Nashville the price has fallen to under $3.00 a gallon several gas stations have gasoline priced at $2.99 and one even down to $2.95. I hope it does not take to long to get it down to that low price in my area of town, we are lagging a bit on the price drop and I for one hope we get caught up and get the price down where the rest of the country is at. The high price of gasoline has about driven us right out of business.
