Essential tools around the house

Any handyman has to have a few essential tools to be able to fix the small things that keep popping up around the house. If you had to start a tool box these are the simple things you need to start with.

1. Hammer

2. Plyers

3. Set of wrenches

4. Duct Tape

5. Electrical Tape

6. Set of mixed screw drivers, flat heads and Phillips heads

7. WD-40

8. Tape measure

If you need more than that and you are pretty clueless call someone or it will cost you more than you make in a week to fix your mess ups.

    Good list. You should add a flashlight to the list though. Lots of the emergencies seem to happen in the dark. And add an extra pack of batteries.

    Hi guys!

    I think you need to add two more things: an extensions cord and a good knife. Either a Swiss Army knife or a good hunting knife with a retractable blade.
